Community

Here, at Daisy's Place, we will strive to be active in our community.

We want to help support groups that work with children, such as the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, along with our public schools.  Daisy's Place will be an excellent place for kids to progress on badges as they learn about the care of parrots.  Learning that animals depend on us for everything, once we take them into our homes, is a valuable life long lesson.  

Some of the birds will become ambassadors, spreading awareness about the plight of captive birds in rescues, shelters, and sanctuaries. 

  We are huge believers in the "Adopt, don't shop" process. If people decide they truly want a bird, we hope by spreading the word, we can get some birds out of rescues and into caring families.
